Dr Khalid has over twenty years of experience in economic development strategy, governance and innovation in government, employment and human capital strategy, and knowledge management at both local and global levels. He is currently a Managing Director of Accenture Management Consulting - Middle East. His academic and policy experience includes serving as the Director of the Governance and Public Management Program at the Dubai School of Government and an Associate at Harvard University Kennedy School (2008-2012), a Professor of Public Policy and Administration at Arizona State University in the USA (2005-2008) and the Department of Policy and Public Management at the University of Denmark. He worked in and advised several international organizations and governments including the Ministry of Finance, SAGIA and the Ministry of Labor in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Office, Dubai Government and Federal Authority for Government Human Resources in the UAE, World Bank, UNDP, OECD, Swedish International Development Agency, Bill Gates Foundation, Shell and Citi Foundations. Dr. Khalid was a speaker in more than 100 international conference and forum in 42 countries; a regular writer in daily newspapers and a guest commentator in TV. He is a member of several international professional associations including the Academy of Management, American Society of Pubic Administration, Middle Eastern Studies Association, and American Economic Association. He has more than 50 published works in international journals and books including Harvard University, World Bank, and Oxford University. He completed a Post-Doctoral from Harvard University, Ph.D. in Development Management, MBA and MPA from University of Hartford.
