The Best Entrepreneur and Leader in 2014, Amer Bukvic, CEO of Bosna Bank International

In a field of more than 600 entrepreneurs and leaders from 42 countries, Amer Bukvic, CEO of Bosna Bank International, won the esteemed Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Prize for the Best Entrepreneur and Leader in 2014 for his tireless efforts on several projects. These include Mr. Bukvic’s work with Bosna Bank International, the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center at the International University of Sarajevo, and the Cambridge International School at the First Bosniak Gymnasium. Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, personally presented the award to Mr. Bukvic.

The Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah International Prize for Entrepreneurs, an awards ceremony organized by The Centennial Fund, was held on 3rd November 2014 in Riyadh. The ceremony benefitted from the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah. It gathered many leaders, entrepreneurs and economic experts from the GCC, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, China, South Korea and other countries.

SLIKA 2222 engOther awardees included Professor Muhammad Yunus for the Personality of the Year Prize in 2014. Professor Yunus is a Bangladeshi social entrepreneur, banker, economist, and civil rights leader. He was awarded the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for founding the Grameen Bank and his pioneering concepts in microcredit and microfinance. Respected global media included him among the top 25 most influential people in the world.
The Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah International Prize for Best Entrepreneur and Leader is the first prize of its kind and reputation in the world. It is organized to honor exceptional leaders and entrepreneurs who strengthen a culture of entrepreneurship.

Before the official awards ceremony, Mr. Bukvic participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Forum 2014, also held in Riyadh. He was invited to present his thoughts and reflections at the session ‘’Global Capital and its Role in Entrepreneurship.’’
