Economical: Professor Muhammad Yunus received Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Award for Leadership in 2014

Professor Muhammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, was awarded Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah International Prize “Global leader” for Entrepreneurship in 2014. While seven entrepreneurs won the first prize in the six branches of the award, another nine were awarded the second and third places.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Centennial Fund, sponsored the evening ceremony and honored the winners of Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah International Prize for Entrepreneurship at its second session. The event was attended by a number of Their Highnesses, ministers, partners and supporters, in the hotel The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh.

Lujaine Mohammed Talat al-deen Aljbawi of a Syrian nationality was given the Best Business Plan Award, Yusuf bin Mahmoud bin Yousef JamJoom of a Saudi nationality was given the Best Business Plan Award, Amal Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Romaih of a Saudi nationality was given the Best Business Plan Award, Sarah bint Abdel-Razak Taaan Otaibi of a Saudi nationality was given the Best Entrepreneur Award, Amina Abdul Majid Yusuf Hawwaj a Bahraini citizenship was given the Best Entrepreneur Award, Fedaa Issa Moussa Abu Turki of a Palestinian nationality was given the Best Entrepreneur Award, Abshik Jarodia of a British nationality received the Best Idea for a Project Award, Ayman Najeh Naji Arndi of a Palestinian nationality received the Best Idea for a project Award, Khalid bin Saeed Saleh Zahrani, of a Saudi nationality received the Best Idea for a project Award, Amer Bikvch of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina received the Best Entrepreneur Mentor Award, Tarek Hussein Kamel Mansour, of an Egyptian nationality received the Best Entrepreneur Mentor Award, Tamer bin Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Frashwti of a Saudi nationality received the Best Entrepreneur Mentor Award, Mohammed Abdul-Hussein Sheikh Khalaf Al Asfour of a Bahraini nationality received the Best Existing Project Award, Khalid Waleed Khalid Khudair of a Saudi nationality received the Best Existing ProjectAward, Nasser Mohammed Saleh Al-Mulla Al-Jasmi from the United Arab Emirates received the Best Existing Project Award and the Asmaa Abdul Ghaffar Khalil Ghaith of an Egyptian nationality received the Best Entrepreneur Mentor Award.
