Fida Abu Turki received Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Award

Fidaa, who works at the Palestinian Centre for communication and development policies in Hebron, received the Prince Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Award for Global Entrepreneurship in 2014 through a ceremony held in the Saudi capital Riyadh for the best entrepreneurs in the Arab world. The celebration was organized by the Board of Trustees of the Centennial Fund and sponsored by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah.

He said that the Global Award for Entrepreneurship in its second season is only the result of the effort and creativity of the winners in the field of entrepreneurship. He added that entrepreneurship now has an active role in the economic growth and social stability, through creating job opportunities and fighting unemployment. He continued saying that from this point stems the importance of supporting and encouraging the culture of entrepreneurship and this award plays a part in triggering creativity and leadership.

He indicated that through its vision and its ambitious policies the Centennial Fund seeks to create a new generation of young men and women bringing creativity, innovation and diversity into the society and developing the service industry.

Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamoud al-Mutairi, General Director of the Centennial Fund and the General Secretary of the award, reported that the number of nominations made by the entrepreneurs to the of award Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Global Entrepreneurship were about 600 candidates from 42 countries, where a team of specialists in the field of entrepreneurship made assessments to the candidates in accordance with the highest international standards. The prize included six basic categories including the category of best existing project, and the category best plan of action, and the category of best project idea, and the category of the best guides, and the category of the best guide, and the category of the best entrepreneurs.

On the celebration of this occasion, Gameel Alderbashi, the general manager of the Palestinian Centre for communication and developmental policies, issued a statement congratulating his employee for winning the award and considering it as a great reward for the performance of the Palestinian Center at the national and the public level.

Fidas’ colleagues congratulated her on this great achievement considering it a result of the efforts she made for the sake of the prosperity of the Palestinian Center. She has managed the administrative and financial affairs throughout the years and was able to establish a distinguished company that is the first for businesswomen in Palestine. It is an institution belonging to the center where she is the chairman of the department.

The center dedicated this award for all women working in all the Palestinian territories and who work to provide services to their community.
