The Secretary General of the Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah international award for Entrepreneurs Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi announced the lunch for the award registration at its third session in the 7 branches; Best Entrepreneur Award, the award for best startup project, the award for best existing project, the award for best leading, the award for best mentor, the award for children pioneers and the award for best project idea.
The registration will be held between January the first 2015 and March the 15th 2015, the concerned parties and entrepreneurs can register through the award website www.abdulazizprize.org.sa
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi state that this award concerned with innovation and creativity, although it’s third launch in a row comes in continuation for the Fund commitment and the dates obligation, especially given that the award is sponsored by his royal highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, Deputy Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Centennial Fund, being the first of its kind in the world, and at the level of cash awards of up to a million Saudi riyals.
Dr. Al-Mutairi added that the award in its second session in 2014 achieved a huge success as the number of applicant on the award site reached 600 candidates from 42 country and 16 awards were given. Prof. Muhammad Yunus received the best Personal Leadership Award in Entrepreneurship.
The Secretary General of the award noted that in the third session of the awards ceremony tow new awards were introduced; Children Pioneer Award which aims to develop the entrepreneurial spirit in youth, for children between 8 and 15 years old, Best Innovative Award for innovators in entrepreneurship. Making sure that the entrepreneurs and the winning projects are subjected to the assessment of the Jury; composed of neutral experienced people in the field of projects inside and outside the Kingdom. Explaining the role played by the International Jury in all branches of the award according the plans placed and approved by the Award Secretariat.
Knowing that the award launched from Saudi Arabia kingdom in 2013, with his highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah vision which aim to the development of youth and institutional capacity in the field of entrepreneurship, and the development of Saudi society, the Gulf and global, consolidate and develop the role of entrepreneurs. The award is one of the Centennial Fund Initiatives, which is a non-profit organization, and does not follow any governmental or private sector; also seeking to deepen and organizing the thought leadership, depending on the work of teams of experts, professionals and young people, who specialize in entrepreneurship.
